Event Hosted By Jeffrey Start slideshow MEETin Goes to Russia Written By Jeffrey 06/04/2005 click for full size The Hillwood Museum is one of America's most notable estate museums and is in a quiet residential neighborhood near Rock Creek Park. It is the legacy of Post Cereal Company heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post and features her internationally renowned personal collection of fine and decorative arts. The museum includes the most comprehensive collections of 18th and 19th century Russian imperial art outside of Russia, as well as one of the world's most important collections of 18th century French decorative arts. This Saturday the museum hosted "Gardener's Day", which featured an abundance of workshops held by horticulturists and entomologists (that's people who like bugs, for those of you that are from Wichita) and a tour of the massive collection of orchids in the greenhose. MEETin members Alexandra, James, Jeffrey, Laura, Nicole, Olga, and Prateek had the pleasure in partaking in a number of these events including a thorough tour of the Hillwood mansion, which houses the aforementioned collection of art. The weather was perfect, the venue was quiet and relaxing, and the company was enjoyable. Yet another fine event courtesy of MEETin!
