Event Hosted By AmyC Link To Event Start slideshow December's Monthly Dinner at Cebiche Written By AmyC 12/12/2007 click for full size It didn't look good for my last monthly dinner as the snow piled up all day long. I had several last-minute cancellations due to the weather and no idea how many would show up. It was a great surprise to walk into Cebiche and see so many happy people! Not a single no-show in the end!! It was a true miracle!! With almost 40 people on the waiting list for weeks and aiming for 20 people at the dinner, I figured I'd have to tell many that there wouldn't be space. Somehow, I was able to get every person in who signed up and came out with 21 people. How does that happen so perfectly every single month??? For this dinner, we visited the Highlands neighborhood and tried Peruvian food at Cebiche. It's a small, charming restaurant and we had most of it to ourselves. Our servers were so wonderful(they even did separate checks), the food was great comfort food and the drinks were flowing from the start. While the menu is very brief, everything sounded good and I exercised my rule of trying everyone's food. I sure hope MichaelB grandfathers that one in! Pisco sours are a Peruvian specialty so I hope everyone had at least a taste of one. I thought they were yummy! I'm so grateful that we had such a terrific turnout for this special event. Thanks to everyone who made it, to Michael for cohosting and chauffeuring right to the front door and to Alex for coming out to my last dinner NO MATTER WHAT!
