Baldy) Written By Melody 05/14/2007 click for full size Of the 24+ people who signed up, only 5 brave souls (including me) showed up for this killer hike. Caryl, Chris, Andrew, Thomas "Thomas Guide", and I, lungs screaming, hearts pounding, muscles aching, all finally made it to the top and back in a mere 9 hours. We overdosed on Clif bars and corny jokes, learned the virtues of hiking poles, made plenty of rest stops, and, in hopes of getting home before dark and not popping our kneecaps out in the steep, gravelly descent, took the ski lift down for the last 4 miles of the return trip. Thomas	Great hike This was almost perfect...several years ago a bunch of us from my workplace did the exact same hike and there was an eerie amount of coincidences between that one and the MILA one...there may have been 3 more who showed up and started before we came, according to what someone at the trailhead told me.
