good fun! i can't decide whether i prefer having W. Dana as a teammate or as the planner, he's so impressive at both! Thanks Dana, you did a fantastic job-- not only a good challenge, but great fun! can't wait for the next |

Perfect day :) What a gorgeous day to run around on the mall for a few hours, and then to win on top of that... :) Thanks everyone for making it a great day all around. |

Surprising trivia tidbit One of the trivia questions required us to visit the George Mason Memorial (located near the Jefferson Memorial), and I realized that I had no idea what GM was actually famous for besides GMU. Went to Wikipedia, and would you believe that Paris Hilton is related to George frickin' Mason??? Paris Hilton is a direct descendant of George Mason. Mason's tenth son Thomas Mason was Paris Hilton's great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather. [Source]

Great scavhunt! Congrats to Bayside on the win! I thought the scores would be a little bit closer, but...we'll get you one day! Next time we won't unintentionally handicap ourselves by not driving cars to get around the Mall. I think we all had a great time running around the Mall with everyone on a beautiful Saturday. I posted my photos online here:

Oh wish I was there I could not make this event, had planned for it for 4 months. I will hopefully make it back for the next chapter of these events. You had great weather. Congrads to Bayside once again. |

Thanks all around. Despite living here essentially my whole life and competing in the previous Scavenger Hunts, Dana once again got me to learn all sorts of new things about the city. E.g. I didn't know we had a Chihuly boat near the botanical gardens, that a sculpture as large as Frank Stella's could be "hidden" on the mall, or the whereabouts of the elusive Ericsson Memorial on Ohio drive. Dana, thanks once again for putting together this fun and informative event that I look forward to each year. Thanks also to the members of Bayside old and new for keeping the tradition alive and growing. And of course thanks to all the members of the other teams for the friendly competition, and a special thanks to our long standing rivals over at Moose and Squirrel (in all their incarnations), competing with you guys over the years is really what makes these so enjoyable. Thanks. |

Thanks Dana! Really appreciate the hard work you put into these- even though I've been really busy lately and haven't had much time for events I had to come out of the woodwork for this one because they are always a blast. To quote Lloyd: "I learned a lot of... stuff." Next time I see you remind me to set my watch to WDana-time ;) |
