Oktoberfest Assistance....
Several MEETin Pittsburgh members are planning a trip to Germany for Oktoberfest. I lived in Germany several years ago but must admit, I'm not overly familiar with lodging in and around Munich during Oktoberfest.
We are planning to visit Fussen, Garmisch, Berchtesgaden, Nurnberg and possibly Berlin in addition to our few days at Oktoberfest.
Our plans aren't set in stone, so, we are looking for suggestions - lodging options in Munic for a few days during the second weekend of the fest. We'd like to stay in a guesthouse or pension as opposed to an Americanized hotel.
Anyone interested in meeting up with us?
Can anyone offer some advice on lodging?

Hi
I'm not sure that we can really help, unless there happens to be a former Municher in Cologne. We're 5 - 6 hours (at least) northwest of Munich.
However, if your trip brings you to Cologne, we'll definitely arrange a meet.
