Event Hosted By Becca Jennifer Link To Event Start slideshow 2009 Midsommarfest, Andersonville Written By Becca 06/14/2009 click for full size The day started out cold enough that we could see our breath in the air after a short rain, but as the maypole dance began and people started to arrive, the weather itself improved progressively throughout the event. Jennifer sang beautifully in the Absolut Flicka women's choir, ending with the catchy ABBA rock song, "RING, RING" sung entirely in Swedish. Another rock band chose all our favorite retro tunes for their exciting medley (Their lead singer is pictured in one of the pics below.). The music, fest food and perusal of wares from local businesses and several stops for beer at various locations made for a fun, all-afternoon event. We topped the evening off with dinner at Charlie's Ale House, the Pixar movie "UP" in 3-D at Century12 Theater in Evanston, and finally more imbibing at O'Shaughnessy's Public House at Ravenswood.
