FF Neighborhood Inspection of Porter Square Written By A-L-I-S-O-N 05/09/2009 click for full size (Special thanks to the ladies at Raspberry Beret for putting on a great event for us!) From there, we headed to Simon's Coffeeshop to sample the cupcakes, bread, mexican hot chocolate, and of course, the espresso drinks. Simon's is rumored to have some of the best espresso around--after guzzling an iced mocha latte, I can definitely see why. It was so tasty! ;-D Once we were sufficiently caffeinated, I broke out some fashion/beauty-themed trivia questions for a chance to win additional loot. (yay!) We strolled over to 1815 Mass Ave to check out the Japan-inspired shops and restaurants. Man, the noodle shops were packed! We chose Blue Fin for a lunch of sushi, udon noodles, and other Japanese dishes--they were the only restaurant large enough to handle our rowdy group. ;-) Once we finished and settled up on the bill, we headed back across the street to Rosie's Bakery to get some coffee/snacks for the road. Thanks to all who showed up--specifically Rachel, Beth, Amanda, Megan, Jessica, and Mia! I'm so glad you ladies were able to make it out on an otherwise busy weekend. Looking forward to the next Neighborhood Inspection! :-) More Photos |
