It’s Historic Salem’s 65th anniversary, and Christmas in Salem’s 30th holiday house tour. What better way to mark these milestones than with a Christmas house tour that includes historically significant sites on or near this year’s route, which is centered around the Salem Common neighborhood. Christmas in Salem will indeed be bigger and better than ever, starting with this website to let you know all about tour features in advance. And there’s lots to share, including information about other holiday events taking place in Salem. Christmas in Salem is more than a house tour…it’s an entire month of fabulous holiday fun. Twelve 18th and 19th century homes all decorated for the holidays, all within easy walking distance Historic “legacy” sites you’ll pass…and several you can visit PLUS Free Trolley Service • Restaurant and Shopping Discounts • Special Museum Offers • Concerts • Lectures • Theatre and Movie Tie-ins • Wine Tasting • Holiday Decorating Boutique TOUR HEADQUARTERS Our headquarters on tour days will be the chapel at St. Peter’s Church, 24 St. Peter Street. The entrance to the chapel is on Brown Street, at the rear of the church. HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS Tickets can be purchased in advance in several ways up until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2nd. The price is $25.00. Purchasers will be given a receipt that must be redeemed for a program book that serves as one’s entry ticket to the homes. Online. (Call first to ensure office is open.) At select retail locations to be announced Tickets for the Friday night preview MUST be purchased in advance. They can be exchanged for program books at any of the homes on the preview tour. Advance purchase tickets MUST be exchanged for program books at tour headquarters on Saturday and Sunday, as the book serves as the entry ticket to the houses. Tickets may also be purchased on those days at tour headquarters for $30.00.
