Event DetailsA GROUP PROJECT! This session you may either (start or finish) a fabulous and sturdy reusable custom grocery bag, or bring along a project you are working on! If you do want to make the bag, please bring the following with you: 1. Fabric of a shopping bag sort, i.e. lightweight canvas, sturdy cotton. For best results, run it through the washer & dryer on the worst cycle you plan to expose it to during its lifetime. You need 1 and 1/4 yard. 2. Matching thread. I like just the universal polyester type. This project will likely take only 1 session of S&B. After we're all done, we'll have another project choice for the next session(s), probably a yarn item. Call me up if you have any questions! The idea behind Stitch & Bitch is getting together with some people to work on various sewing/knitting &/or craft projects. The Pros are that everybody can share equipment, get (or give) help and of course eat/drink/socialize. Cons are that you might spend the whole time chattering away and drinking wine and snacking while your patterns and needles lie sadly at the wayside :) Not really much of a con in my opinion. We'll probably have S&B throughout the winter every 2 or 3 weeks. **Please indicate in your RSVP whether you are doing the bag or your own thing! Thanks! |
