Event Details Wait what? What is this “SPP” thing Dave? I'll get there Captain Impatient but first let me intro this thing in style. Everyone has lost a sock in the dryer... It's an inevitable fact of life. Somewhere you've got a sock laying around in the hopes that you'll find it's long lost mate. You won't. That sock is destined to remain solo, heart broken and an empty shell of fabric with no point to it's existense. Do you want that for your sock? For it to live out it's life a pitiful heart broken lonely lump in the back of your dresser? No? Well then this party is for you because together we can give that sock a whole new meaning! Give your sock a purpose here at Boise's only Sock Puppet Productions! Yes, you too CAN give that lonely sock the dream of every sock everywhere! It will make the jump from your foot to your hand and live out the best night of it's life as a puppet! Here at Sock Puppet Productions we are dedicated to happiness of your long lost socks! In case you don't understand, I'm having a sock puppet party. So find a sock, put a face on it and come experience the single best theatrical experience Boise has to offer. (At least it is the best theatrical experience Boise has to offer in my house on a Saturday night.) Once the party gets going people will be able to form “troops” and act out some of the most famous scenes in history sock puppet style. The twist is that your troop won't know what scene it's going to perform until you've pulled it from a hat. Are there going to be prizes? I don't know... Maybe. Prizes for the best scene, the funniest scene, the best puppet, the shabbiest puppet... you know how it goes. Basically prizes for being awesome. So what do you need to bring? Yourself, a sock, stuff to make sock puppets, some food to share and any drinks you want. I could also use some help coming up with famous scenes for us to use. Scenes from plays, movies... even history. If it's likely that people will know it, it's fair game so send me any ideas you have. One last thing: this event is at a private home. (mine) I don't mind if I haven't met you, I just ask that you treat my home with respect. Questions? Comments? Ideas? Let's hear em!
