Well I don't think that anyone was able to get any pictures of the bats flying to come out on their camera's... however, the bats politely flew for us at nearly the exact time the Bat Hotline said they would! So yeah! I didn't really count everyone but I'd guess about 30ish people showed up to watch 1.5 million (give or take) bats fly out from under the Congress Avenue bridge with Khanh and I. No one got any bat potty on them and no one got rabies! So I'd say a very successful event! Special shout out to Dwayne for being our unofficial, official photo journalist! Thank you for the pictures! Thank you to everyone else who came and I hope you enjoyed this truly unique Austin experience. :) I stole some pictures from the BatFest website so you can see what the bats looked like. Mike	bat pics Thanks for hosting the event. It was definitely an unique experience to watch all those bats fly out from under the bridge. I got there a little later, so it was too dark for most of my photos to come out, but here they are anyway.
Dwayne	Actually...there were.... ...1.7845 million bats that flew out that night. Yep! I counted each and every one of them! Thanks Jennifer and Khanh for hosting the Bat Watching Event for us MeetIN Tourists. It was a great experience....oh and screw S.F. I left MY heart (and liver too) in Austin, Texas! I look forward to returning to your city in the not too distant future !!

Jennifer and I couldn't have asked for a better group to watch the bats with -- and thank goodness those boogers were being cooperative and flew relatively early enough for us to see them!
