The following is my ammendment to Wikipedia, we'll see if it gets accepted: "Friendly means behaving in a kind way to someone, as a friend would behave. The opposite of unfriendly. For personification of this adjective, see Joanna from Meetin in Amsterdam." Seriously, Joanna is a great hostess and wonderful person. Everyone who has met her has benefitted from the experience.  <-( Nina says ;-)
Joanna is the life and soul of Meetin events. She is a brilliant hostess and energetic organizer. She always has a kind word to say and makes everyone feel welcome. We are lucky to have Joanna in the group.  <-( Jo says ;-)
Well as fellow Bristolian we were bound to get along. Jo is genuinely interested in everyone she meets and does a fantastic job of making newcomers feel right at home here in Amsterdam. A great sense of humor and great conversation. Thanks for making sure that my work-life balance stays balanced and encouraging me to take the plunge into event planning!  <-( Theo says ;-)
Within the shortest possible time, Jo has proven herself to be an example to all of us MeetIn folks. She's fun, bubbly, smart, a top organiser and great hostess. Although her native England (or more precisely its police force) has been the brunt of quite a few of my jokes in the past, she has proven herself to be a true Brit by answering to those jabs with witty sarcasm - and that's what I like best :) Cheers to that Jo, keep up the fun attitude!  <-( Sandeep says ;-)
I first met Jo ('Favourite Jo' - to give her full name) at my Indian dinner almost a year ago and I wish that she'd come to every single event ever since. She has a heart of gold, unbridled energy, excellent social & event organising skills and is a source of all knowledge (and gossip !!). Without her, I doubt many an event would have succeeded. In her previous life, Jo is known to have worked in the Catering industry but I suspect that is a cover used by all PAPARAZZI because she is well known for ambushing unsuspecting members and taking inopportune pictures and videos *cough*. So make sure you introduce yourself to her - before she does it herself. She's all right really.  <-( Luis says ;-)
Joana is a born hostess: she is organized, always in a good mood, always paying attention to everything and everybody. She is always smiling and will make you feel confortble at the very instant you meet her. I strongly advice you to try and make it for her events, she knows how to do it!  <-( Tarsha says ;-)
Jo is a consistently cheerful, enthusiastic, chilled-out chick. Forever warm and welcoming, and as stated before has good tips on a diversity of subjects - another notable example: ironing! She once wrote that as more time goes on, the more impressed she is with Meetin, well all I can say is that as more time goes on, the more impressed Meetin is with Jo!  <-( Fong says ;-)
Met Joanna during the Haarlem Culinair, which I organised, and straightaway, Joanna volunteered to help with 'crowd control'! A real gem. Really friendly and easy to talk to. Great tips on wine and food too! You'll want to meet her at the next event!!  <-( Matthew says ;-)
