Michael has a lot of testimonials - all of them extremely positive - and rightfully so! I don't think I have ever met a nicer guy! In a city of bikes, I know of no one else who would consistently be willing to park their bike and take to foot/tram no matter the distance or weather, to escort a directionless, bike scared (in the city) soul such as myself to the events we are mutually attending! I can't imagine Meetin nor Amsterdam without Michael, and I am thankful to have been able to forge such a strong friendship with him during my time in A'dam! I could continue this testimonial, but I think it's obvious from mine and others that Michael is well worth getting to know!  <-( Bill says ;-)
Michael is a great host and wonderful person. He is organized, friendly, accomadating and helpful. Although not origionally from the Netherlands, he is a ambassador for Amsterdam. We are lucky to have him with us at Meetin.  <-( Nehmi says ;-)

Dear Member, Of course you met Michael already, he is your rock in the wild waters of Meetin Amsterdam and is using all his talents to keep the good Meetin vibes going... Michael rocks. Funny, kind, reliable, friendly. He may not be the loudest person in the room but he certainly works it making sure everyone is ok (and catching us all on his camera for better and for worse!) Great to hang out with, especially as a part of a quiz team.  <-( Kelly says ;-)
With his dual passions for German rock and pole-dancing (sometimes both at once), Michael is an essential addition to any MEETin event. I treasure the moments we've spent together, playing Extreme Freestyle Jenga, practising backgammon (he cheats), burning our backsides on the hot asphalt outside Brouwerij 't IJ, and brushing up on my German. No one has a bad word to say about Michael because, quite simply, he's fantastic. A really friendly guy, lots of fun, and smart too! Just beware if he invites you to a movie called Insomnia (87 hours!)....  <-( Anna says ;-)

A dedicated pub quiz partner and perfect MeetIn attendance record: Michael is a great guy to hang out with. He's kind, fun and intelligent and has a natural tendency to communicate with a person from every caliber. He's also not afraid of hitting the bar, which makes him even more fun to hang out with :-) <-( Sandeep says ;-)
Michael has a 100% attendance record for all events but what did you expect from a PhD student!! Michael is loved by everyone, is always in good spirits, up for a laugh, has a smile on his face (I mean look at the pics) and one of the last people left at the end of the night after a good night's drinking.  <-( CharAnn says ;-)
Ladies, Michael is awesome! He is very sweet and kind. Not to mention a great host and a wonderful dancer. Don't let his looks fool you. He does have somewhat of a wildside. At Museumnacht, when our large group had to be split up, Michael proved to be an able leader in guiding us tourists around Amsterdam. He patiently tolerated our constant picture-taking and propensity for walking in the path of bicyclists, and successfully navigated us as we used the tram system for the first time. Michael hung out with us the following day, easily forgiving our tardiness to the Anne Frank Huis event. He was on hand to wish us bon voyage on our last night in Amsterdam, hanging out with us until late, even though it was a work night. Thanks, Michael, for helping to make this visit to Amsterdam a memorable one for all of us. It was a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to seeing you again, whether on our side of the pond or yours.  <-( mIKEY says ;-)
