    About Me
Started as a member of MeetinSanFrancisco, then started MeetinAmsterdam & now it's time for a new adventure: MeetinMaastricht! Proud to start Meetin in my hometown!
    Why I joined
Meetin combines two great things: meeting new people & having a good time! First I was a member of Meetin San Francisco, in a very short time I made a lot of new friends there, felt good to meet some people outside work. The lowkey, relaxed & welcoming vibe at the events feels great! You know what I mean after your first event, just give it a try!
My Best MEETin event story ( please only fill in after you have been to an event )
They are all good fun, but these are my favorites: •Scavenger Hunt for sure, a great sunny day 68 meetinamsterdam people having a good time, a fabulous hunt and all for a great cause, wahoo Meetin at it's best!! •Sinterklaas Party was a good laugh, everyone went home with the presents they didn't want, haha. •Movie making, shooting a rockin video in Alan's kitchen, check out the result in the "movie section" on the main page!! •Hanging out with the MeetinDC and Philly crowd! •Queensday on a boat, fabulous! •Paintballing all day long was great and also very painful •Volunteering was very rewarding, great fun and what a teamwork! •Members mixer are always fun too, so many new faces each time, awesome!

Occasionally referred to as "...the Mother of all Mothers...". Maybe a tat too much, but given that she is the founding member of Meetin Amsterdam, she is solely responsible for bringing this mob together. A fab organiser full of original ideas! Loves to surprise you with a TV camera crew on your first event. However, it needs to be said that she scares easily >:) Geloekig komt ge oet Meestrech!

I think everything that can possibly be said about Yasmin has been said many many times…but ya know what, it’s all true. Yasmin is a veritable legend! Not only has she single handedly set up Meetin Amsterdam in a year – she also keeps us all in line and keeps Meetin what it should be…lots of FUN and so easy for new people to feel at home in. Even with all that she still has time to get to know everyone, she is cool, calm and collected and is just way friendly.

Well what can I say about Yasmin, a person who sets all this up has got to be great. Shes organised some excellent events, is always approachable and a great laugh!!! Thanks for setting up Meetin.

Everything has been already said about Yasmin so what can I add? may be just that the Amsterdam group is so absolutely amazingly fun that it makes me consider moving to Amsterdam...if I only knew Dutch!! lol A big thank you to the wonderfully easygoing friendly and welcoming Yasmin that made our trip to Amsterdam so awesome.

Me and Yamin have talked for a long time via MEETin since the start of MEETinAmsterdam and I always could tell she was this really cool person and when I met her I was not surprised at all at how nice and inviting she was. She welcomed all of us DC folks into her city like we were family. I will never forget this trip and never forget the friends I made. Thanks for helping us explore your city. If you ever come to DC our home is your home. Thanks again girl I we will see you soon for sure. Did someone say MEETin Euro-Convention :-)

Yasmin approached me in April to join MeetIn and I've seen her do a fantastic job at expanding the whole A'dam crowd while keeping it all neatly together. Kudos to all her hard work and logistics! I haven't spoken to her as much as I would like to, social butterfly as she is :-), but I do know that she is well able to be the MeetIn A'dam leader of the gang. Long may she reign while our city's group prospers!

Yasmin is just THE GREATEST. She has singlehandedly built up MEETin Amsterdam with her enthusiasm, charm, good organisational skills, friendly and easy going nature. She is a must to meet at all events (but beware your drinks!!)

I am not sure what there is left to say about Yasmin that hasn't already been said by my fellow travel mates from our Europe trip. Yasmin is truly a wonderful hostess and person. It is very easy to see why MEETinAmsterdam has been growing so effectively – everyone gravitates to her. Yasmin, thank you for taking the time to make us all feel right at home in Amsterdam. As I fast discovered that I love Amsterdam and plan on visiting there more frequently, I am sure our paths will cross again soon :-)

Yasmin, what can I say? She is the nicest person and the best host in all of Amsterdam. She met us at the airport, twice, due to a mix up. She was worried sick about us:-( She made sure we got on the train. She helped us to get settled and find something to eat so early in the morning. She always made certain she left us in good hands so that we could find our way back to our hostel. She had the best potluck at her home. Yasmin took us to the best places to party and have fun like Rembrandt Square. She WAS that lil' angel on our shoulder that kept watch over us and kept us safe. When we told her we would return the favor if she ever came to DC, she asked will we remember her even if it is a year from now? Yasmin, we will remember you and this trip for the rest of our lives. Whose house is it? It's Amsterdam's house! Until we meet again:-)

    <-( Willie says ;-)
Yasmin is the rock that makes Amsterdam what it is. I can't imagine going there again without paying her a visit. You are awesome girl. Thanks so much for showing us the city, helping us find places to eat, play, sing, dance, and other unmentionable things. I beg you to come here to DC so we can show you how we do it here. Between you having to work and show us how you party out there, I am impressed with all you did. Keep up the awesome work! I miss your smile already! ALREADY!!!!

The incredible time we had in Amsterdam wouldn’t have been possible without Yasmin! Before we ever met in person, as we were planning the trip online, Yasmin was right there making suggestions and helping us book our hostel. When we finally arrived in her beautiful city, Yasmin met us at the airport and welcomed us with her great big smile and positive energy. She took us on a tour around the city, helped us navigate to and from events, and was incredibly patient with us every step of the way. Yasmin has done a fantastic job nurturing the growth of MEETinAMSTERDAM and the high quality of its members is a reflection of her efforts. Yasmin, I’m glad we got to meet on this trip… and I hope we cross paths again.

With Yasmin as the city Leader, MEETinAmsterdam has become the gateway to MEETin Europe, because visiting Europe again is inconceivable without a stop over in Amsterdam. The warm hospitality given to us by the MEETinAmsterdam members is indicative of the Yasmin’s leadership. Feeling at home in Amsterdam comes naturally with Yasmin around. Yasmin met me at the train station, and while the rest of the D.C. crew was napping, Yasmin took me on an impromptu walking tour around the city, including the Flower Market and the Red Light District. It was something I appreciate very much, as it turned out we hardly had enough time to do one during days we were in Amsterdam. Even before getting to Europe, Yasmin helped get train tickets to Paris, and tolerated my numerous panicky e-mails when the reservations had to be made in Dutch and the tickets had to be mailed to an address in Nederlands. Yasmin missed two days of work during the weekend so she could guide the rowdy MEETinDC and MEETinPhilly group around town, and I really appreciate that generosity. It is little surprise that MEETinAmsterdam has grown significantly in less than a year. Yasmin's hard work in getting the word out has paid off handsomely, because there are only quality people in MEETinAmsterdam. It was an honor to meet Yasmin in person and I look forward to visiting with her and Amsterdam again soon.

When I came to visit Amsterdam Yasmin met me at the hotel to help me to get to my first event. That was the start of the nice things she did for us. She was so patient with my stupid questions, getting lost, and relaying messages to the DC crew. What she did for us was unbelivably nice. Yasmin, you always know now you will have a friend in Philly!

Yasmin is a hep cat. She squeezes enough time into her busy schedule to bring Meetin to the Randstad. Thanks for showing us a good time!
